Bill to reduce FOBT stakes to £2 set for second Lords reading

A bill to significantly reduce the maximum stake on fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs) in Britain is set to have its second reading in the House of Lords next week.

The Gambling (Categorisation and Use of B2 Gaming Machines) Bill, introduced in June last year by Liberal Democrat peer Baron Timothy Clement-Jones, aims to cut the maximum stake on Category B2 gaming machines from £100 to just £2.
