The Italian Tennis Federation (FIT) has opened an investigation into Davis Cup player Marco Cecchinato over suspicions of match-fixing during a tournament held in October 2015.
The 23 year-old Cecchinato is suspected of having illegally influenced the result of a Challenger tournament, which took place in Morocco. The player was fourth seed at the event, easily winning his first two matches before losing the quarter-final by 6-1 6-4 to Kamil Majchrak.
