Online gaming software supplier SBTech has been awarded a remote operating licence for the supply of gambling software in the UK market.

SBTech has been approved to offer its services by the UK Gambling Commission, ensuring it complies with the terms of the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act which came into law late last year.

The supplier said that it believed its licence would strengthen its reputation and position within the UK market, serving as another milestone in its strategy to expand further into regulated markets.

SBTech's chief executive Itai Zak commented: “We're pleased to be officially licensed by the UK Gambling Commission after the implementation of further stringent regulations in relation to sports betting and gaming services within the UK.

“The UK market is an important key market for the company and the licences will allow us to target further growth in this market,” Zak continued. “It also serves as testament to the quality of SBTech's sports betting and gaming platform, which millions of players around the globe now enjoy, and the high standards it meets bolster our reputation as a respected and highly regarded industry leader."
