Germany’s Association for Telecommunications and Media (DVTM) has urged the government to urgently revise the State Treaty on Gambling, arguing that an entire industry has been trapped in the "regulatory middle ages".

The DVTM, whose members include the likes of BT Germany and RTL Interactive, and gaming operators Tipico and PokerStars, is the latest German organisation to speak out against the country’s State Treaty on Gaming, which last week drew criticism from the European Commission (EC).
