New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has filed for an enforcement action seeking an injunction against DraftKings and FanDuel as he bids to drive the daily fantasy sports (DFS) operators out of the state.

Schneiderman submitted his application to the New York State Supreme Court yesterday (Tuesday), accusing the pair of running illegal gambling operations that breached laws set out in the state constitution. The filing follows Schneiderman sending cease and desist letters to each operator last week, prompting the pair to attempt to secure an injunction to stop the legal action.

This request was rejected, but a hearing has been scheduled for next week, November 25th.
