Stockholm-listed casino games developer NetEnt will soon launch its games in British Columbia after being approved as a licensed supplier by the Canadian province's gaming regulator.

NetEnt Americas has been approval by the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) to provide its games to the province's only licensed operator, British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and its iGaming site.

"I am very pleased that we have reached yet another important milestone in our expansion on regulated markets," said NetEnt president and CEO Per Eriksson.

"We are the online casino supplier with the largest presence on regulated markets in terms of number of licenses and certifications that we hold, and entering the province of British Columbia in Canada is another important step for us."

Shares in NetEnt AB (Co. Data) (STO:NET-B) climbed 1.34 per cent to SEK71.75 per share in Stockholm earlier Friday following the announcement.
