The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has written to its licensees advising them to abide by the Department of Justice’s revised Opinion on the Wire Act.
The Department of Justice (DoJ) Opinion published January 14th revised an earlier Opinion issued in 2011, which stated that the Wire Act only applies to the interstate transmission of wire communications related to sports betting and not other forms of gambling.
