Victoria is set to become the first Australian state to implement strict new rules for online betting operators to provide stronger consumer protections for Victorians gambling online.
From Sunday 26 May, operators must comply with requirements for betting account deposit limits, restrictions on direct marketing, and a ban on perks that encourage consumers to continue betting.
