New Jersey moved a step closer to becoming the first U.S state to legalise online gaming after the state’s Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee approved a bill which proposes to authorise intra-state and international online gaming at Atlantic City casinos to New Jersey residents as well as international customers.
The Committee approved the bill by a vote of 10 to 1 yesterday, with two abstentions, with the bill now heading to the full Senate for consideration.
