Florida’s online poker bill appears to be the latest victim of the fallout from last month’s Department of Justice action against offshore online poker operators, with lawmakers indefinitely postponing the bill and withdrawing it from consideration.
The Internet Poker Consumer Protection and Revenue Generation Act (SB812) would have authorised card room operators to provide online poker to state residents through a state Internet poker network.
