Italy’s communications authority AGCOM has issued combined financial penalties of more than €3 million to Google and Twitch International for violating the country’s gambling advertising ban.
The regulatory authority initiated procedures against Google and Twitch after uncovering more than 80 YouTube and Twitch channels containing more than 20,000 videos featuring ads for slots, sports betting, scratch cards and other casino games.
