New Jersey’s gambling regulator has cleared casino supplier Evolution of wrongdoing in relation to allegations against the company in November 2021.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) launched an investigation into allegations of misconduct by Evolution in November 2021 after an unidentified firm issued a report accusing the company of serving illegal markets.
The report claimed that Evolution live dealer games could be found in AML hot spots such as Iran and Syria, as well as in countries such as Hong Kong and Singapore, where online gambling is explicitly banned.
Evolution has consistently denied the allegations and the case has now been closed by the New Jersey regulator with no further action.
“The NJDGE found no evidence that Evolution sanctioned, promoted, permitted, or otherwise materially benefitted from its content offered by operators in any market that the NJDGE considers a prohibited jurisdiction,” said a statement by the company.
“Evolution also conducted an internal review, while concluding that its due diligence and compliance processes were sufficient, Evolution took the opportunity to enhance its processes. The NJDGE supports the enhancements that Evolution has made. The enhancements did not relate to any jurisdictional violations.”
