Proposals to allow betting on college sports and fixed-odds betting on horse racing have progressed through committee in New Jersey.
The Senate Budget Committee unanimously approved a proposed constitutional amendment Monday to seek voter approval to expand sports betting to include collegiate competitions, with wagering permitted through casinos and current or former horse racetracks on college sports or athletic events.
