North Dakota Committee votes against sports betting proposal

North Dakota’s House Judiciary Committee has rejected a proposal to ask voters whether sports betting should be authorized in the state.

HCR 3002 aimed to give North Dakota voters an opportunity to decide whether sports betting should be added to the list of gambling exceptions at the next elections in November 2024.

If successful, the legislature could have then considered authorizing betting on professional sports in 2025.
