New York Assembly Member Clyde Vanel has introduced a bill seeking to add warning messages to gambling advertising in the state.
A 1118 would require all advertisements for gambling and sports betting to include warnings about the potential harmful and addictive effects of gambling.
It would also require the state gaming commission to cooperate with the commissioner of addiction services and supports to ensure that all advertisements for gaming activity include a problem gambling hotline number.
