South Africa’s Democratic Alliance (DA) party, the official opposition to the ruling African National Congress (ANC), has introduced legislation to regulate online gambling in the country.
Authored by Dean Macpherson MP, DA Shadow Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, the Remote Gambling Bill 2024 was introduced last week in Parliament after more than two years of drafting and consultations with industry experts.
