Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned a radio ad for the LeoVegas-owned brand BetUK after it was found to have strong appeal to under-18s for featuring retired footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa.
The ruling forms part of a wider piece of work banning gambling ads which, under strengthened rules, are prohibited when likely to be of strong appeal to under-18s.
