US casino operator MGM Resorts International has been confirmed as the new owner of San Antonio Stars, the women's professional basketball team which will be relocated to Las Vegas.
The Stars franchise was originally established for the Women’s National Basketball Association’s (WNBA) inaugural season in Salt Lake City before moving to San Antonio prior to the 2003 season.
