New York-listed casino operator MGM Resorts International has opened the first integrated luxury casino resort in the US state of Massachusetts.
MGM Springfield officially opened its doors Friday, offering more than 125,000 square feet of gaming space located in a three city block area in the heart of downtown Springfield.
The long-running $960m project began in 2011 and brings 3,000 permanent jobs and a range of new entertainment offerings to the New England region.
