Highlight Games restructures leadership team as CEO steps down

Cherry-owned virtual sports specialist Highlight Games has confirmed the departure of founder and CEO Tim Green.

Green has stepped down with immediate effect after nearly six years at the helm, having founded the supplier back in 2014. He is replaced by general counsel Steven Holmes and director Nick Gardiner, who have been appointed co-chief executives.

Holmes has been with Highlight Games since April 2018 after a decade as chief legal officer at Inspired Gaming Group, now Inspired Entertainment.

Gardiner is also an alumni of Inspired, having served as commercial director for over 12 years, leading the launch and roll-out of virtual sports in the UK and international territories. He joined Highlight in November 2017.

“Highlight Games is a business with huge potential, and we look forward to building on the success which Tim has initiated over the past five years,” said Holmes and Gardiner in a joint statement. 

“Together we bring a breadth of commercial and operational experience to the CEO role and are committed to steering the company into a new phase of growth. We thank Tim for his commitment to the business and wish him every success in the future.”
