Online gaming software provider EveryMatrix is looking to expand its operations in Asia with the opening of a new office in the Philippines, headed up by business development manager Ian Sherrington.
The company said that the opening of its new office in Manila would ensure a presence within the region “whilst catering to the growing demands of the online gaming communities in Asia.”
The office will be headed by Ian Sherrington, who is best known for launching one of the first online sportsbooks, Intertops, in the early nineties. He later went on to found Mahjong Mania, creating an aggregated cash-play Mahjong game, which was later sold and became Dynasty Gaming.
Sherrington joined EveryMatrix in July of this year as sales, marketing and development manager for Southeast Asia and Australasia, but will now take on the role of business development manager for the Asian region.
EveryMatrix CEO Ebbe Groes said that the company was “delighted” to be opening an office in Asia having “garnered so much interest” in the region in recent years.
“We are lucky to have Ian Sherrington on board leading the office out in Manila, embracing the call for our products in Asia,” said Groes. “Ian has remarkable skills in product development and we intend to make full use of them so as to deliver truly tailored products rather than poorly translated European experiences.”
