Former Italian regulator and Playtech executive tasked with embedding RG into products and brands
Allwyn has appointed former Italian gambling regulator Francesco Rodano as group head of responsible gaming.
Rodano brings extensive experience in public policy, regulation and technology innovation to the role, having served as director of remote gaming at Italy’s gambling regulator between 2007 and 2016.
He joins Allwyn from Playtech, where he most recently served as chief sustainable gambling officer.
In his new role, Rodano will be responsible for building responsible gambling frameworks, toolkits and policies for markets and central teams, and embedding player protection into products, customer journeys and brand decisions.
“As Allwyn expands its global presence, being responsible isn’t just how we approach business, it is a key part of who we are and our long-term strength,” said Allwyn chief executive Robert Chvátal. “From how we partner, hire and innovate, to how we make games safer, we embed integrity and care across everything we do. Francesco’s appointment and the experience he brings are another clear commitment to that philosophy, and I am delighted to welcome him to Allwyn.”
Rodano commented: “I am privileged to be joining Allwyn and to build on the strong responsible gaming platform the company has already put in place across its markets. Player protection is something I live and breathe and I look forward to implementing that passion at scale across Allwyn.”
