Jouteau will be responsible for defining Banijay Gaming’s strategy, combining organic growth with targeted acquisitions

Banijay Gaming has appointed experienced tech and ecommerce executive Antoine Jouteau as its new chief executive officer.

Jouteau will take on his new role on 1 September as the company enters a new phase of growth following the completion of its combination with Tipico Group and its planned acquisition of JOA.

As CEO, he will be responsible for defining Banijay Gaming’s strategy, combining organic growth with targeted acquisitions.

His priorities will include establishing an operating model that reflects the group’s ambitions, accelerating growth across its existing regulated markets, increasing market share, and strengthening customer-focused innovation by leveraging the combined strengths of Betclic, Tipico and Admiral.

Jouteau brings more than twenty years of experience leading the growth and transformation of technology companies, from start-ups to publicly listed businesses.

After holding leadership positions at TDF and PagesJaunes, he joined French ecommerce site Leboncoin in 2009 and was appointed CEO in 2015. Following that, he served as CEO of Adevinta, the international group behind brands including Mobile.de, Leboncoin and Kleinanzeigen, before returning to lead Leboncoin in 2024.

“His track record reflects a strong business and execution mindset, a proven ability to drive growth and innovation, and deep expertise in technology, particularly in data and artificial intelligence,” said Banijay Gaming. “Combined with the gaming expertise already embedded within Betclic, Tipico and Admiral, his experience will be instrumental in building a leading global player in the industry.”

Following Jouteau’s appointment, Nicolas Béraud will remain as Banijay Gaming’s non-executive chairman, and Joachim Baca remains non-executive vice-chairman.

Commenting on his appointment, Jouteau said: “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter as I join Banijay Gaming as CEO. Banijay Gaming has reached a pivotal moment in its journey. Bringing together Betclic, Tipico and Admiral creates a unique platform: leading brands, exceptional talent and a strong footprint across Europe’s regulated gaming markets.

“What convinced me to join this adventure is the opportunity to build on these strong foundations and help shape the next stage of growth. Growth through execution. Growth through innovation. And growth by continuously raising the bar for the experience we deliver to our players.”

Jouteau continued: “Over the coming weeks, my priority will be to meet our teams across Europe, listen, learn and understand what makes each business successful. Together, we’ll define how we can leverage our collective strengths while preserving what makes each brand unique.

“I’ve always believed that technology is an incredible accelerator, but technology alone never creates lasting success. Sustainable growth comes from talented people, working together with a clear ambition, a strong execution mindset and an unwavering focus on customers.”

In the company’s results for the first half of 2026, also announced earlier today, Banijay Gaming recorded strong growth as revenue increased by 54 per cent to €1.21 billion, buoyed by the Tipico acquisition.
