Online casino operator Videoslots has appointed Klas Winberg as chief commercial officer (CCO).

Winberg brings a wealth of knowledge to the operator, having worked in the iGaming sector for the likes of Betfair, Catena Media, Raketech and Expekt, and most recently as CEO of Play North.

Winberg joins newly appointed chief operating officer Anna Komemi as the latest additions to Videoslots’ senior leadership team.

“We are thrilled to have someone of such calibre join our ranks,” said Videoslots deputy CEO Ulle Skottling. “His proven success in the iGaming industry will undoubtedly elevate our team’s strategic vision and drive future accomplishments even further.”

Commenting on his new role, Winberg said: “Videoslots is a company I have always had my eye on and followed with admiration in terms of being a leader in games offering, industry expertise and customer engagement. I am very excited to join this team brimming with know-how and who has great and exciting plans for growth in the pipeline.”

Videoslots also confirmed this week that its Mr Vegas brand has been granted a sports betting license by Swedish gambling regulator Spelinspektionen.

“We’re ambitious but realistic with our sportsbook goals,” continued Skottling. “It’s a very competitive market and a complex product to develop in-house, so we’re pragmatic. For us, the key is to expand our offer and satisfy our loyal players.”
