Gentoo Media names Svalborn to replace CFO Mads Haugegaard Albrechtsen

Gentoo Media has appointed Måns Svalborn as chief financial officer (CFO), replacing Mads Haugegaard Albrechtsen who left the iGaming affiliate at the end of May.

Svalborn is expected to join the company in early October and brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience to the rile, including as CFO of rival Raketech for more than six years.

Prior to joining the iGaming industry, he built his career across banking and audit, including senior finance leadership roles at Nordea Bank and experience as an auditor at Ernst & Young.

“Måns is a highly experienced CFO with a strong track record in the affiliate industry,” said Gentoo Media CEO Jonas Warrer. “His combination of listed-company experience, deep financial expertise and proven leadership within listed iGaming affiliate businesses makes him an excellent addition to Gentoo Media.

“I am confident he will play an important role as we continue executing on our long-term growth strategy. I would also like to extend my thanks to ESR Talent for their support throughout the recruitment process.”

Commenting on his appointment, Svalborn said: “I’m delighted to be joining Gentoo Media at such an exciting stage of the company’s journey. Gentoo Media has built a portfolio of highly recognised brands and established a strong position in the global affiliate market. I look forward to working with the team to build on that success and create long-term value for our shareholders.”

Raketech chair Peter Ekmark added: “On behalf of Raketech, I would like to thank Måns for his valuable contributions to the company, both during his years as CFO and more recently as a member of the Board. We wish him every success in his new role.”

Shares in Gentoo Media Inc. (STO:G2M) were trading 1.68 per cent lower at SEK6.44 per share in Stockholm Tuesday morning.
