Kindred Group names Nils Andén as permanent CEO

Stockholm-listed betting and gaming operator Kindred Group has named Nils Andén as permanent chief executive officer.

Andén has served as interim CEO since May 2023 following the departure of long-serving CEO Henrik Tjärnström, and previously served as chief commercial officer.

“The Board is very pleased to be able to appoint Nils as permanent CEO and that he is willing to take on the job,” said Kindred Group chairman Evert Carlsson. “Nils has done an excellent job as interim CEO and is an appreciated leader with a vast knowledge of both Kindred and the online gambling industry.

“We look forward to working with Nils and his team as he continues to lead the company on its strategic direction.”

Commenting on his appointment, Andén said: “I am grateful and proud to have received the Board’s confidence to continue in the role as CEO of Kindred Group.

“We have a great team who are working hard to deliver on an exciting strategy that will strengthen Kindred’s position in locally regulated markets, and I look forward to continue to execute on our plan.”

Shares in Kindred Group plc (STO:KIND) were trading at SEK122.85 per share in Stockholm earlier Wednesday after the company also announced its financial results for the final quarter of 2023.
