Svenska Spel strengthens management team with new promotions

Sweden’s state-owned gaming operator Svenska Spel has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Mikael Franzén as head of its new gaming responsibility and data-driven transformation division.

Franzén has been with Svenska Spel for nearly six years, serving as IT director since September 2019.

He will take over as head of the new group function on 1 April, and is replaced as IT director by Lovisa Ekman, who currently serves as head of corporate IT.

Since Autumn, Svenska Spel has been working to future-proof the group through a review of its working methods and costs, and will establish a new organization structure from 1 April.

It includes this new group function, which aims to strengthen Svenska Spel's responsible gambling measures and increase the ability to make data-driven decisions throughout the group.
