Playtech names Doreen Tan as new board member

London-listed gaming supplier and operator Playtech has appointed Doreen Tan as an independent non-executive director.

Playtech said that Tan will bring more than 30 years of experience to the board from senior positions in some of the largest international financial institutions.

She will join the Playtech Board on 9 July.

“I am delighted that Doreen has agreed to join the Playtech Board,” said Playtech non-executive chairman Brian Mattingley. “Her wealth of experience, gained at some of the world's leading financial institutions, will add further depth and valuable insights to the Board's discussions.

“We look forward to welcoming her to Playtech, as we continue to execute our strategy.”

Tan will work alongside Playtech’s existing Board members Brian Mattingley, CEO Mor Weizer, chief financial officer Chris McGinnis, as well as non-executive directors Ian Penrose, Anna Massion, Samy Reeb and Linda Marston-Weston.

Shares in Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC) were trading 1.20 per cent lower at 452.00 pence per share in London earlier Thursday.
