Fanatics Betting & Gaming adds former Gucci SVP as CMO

Fanatics Betting and Gaming has brought in Selena Kalvaria as chief marketing officer (CMO) to replace Jason White, who left last year.

Kalvaria will lead brand development and oversee a team of around 40 executives across brand management, media, content, creative and communications.

She joins Fanatics after three years at the luxury fashion brand Gucci, where she most recently served as SVP of brand and client engagement for Gucci Americas.

Kalvaria said that one of the goals in her new role will be to attract more women to the brand. “There’s a huge intersection between female athletes and sports and fashion, and we have a huge commerce business,” she said. “There are a lot of different ideas that we can cultivate that I think we can do uniquely.”

Fanatics offers iGaming and sports betting in Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and is live with sports betting in a further 18 US states.
