Australian casino operator Crown Resorts has announced a raft of leadership changes across the business.
The operator has made a number of internal promotions and external hires that will take effect over the next three months.
David Tsai, who most recently served as CEO of Crown Perth, is now taking on the role of president and group chief operating officer at Crown Resorts.
Tsai will be in charge of operational effectiveness and efficiency and will report to group CEO Ciarán Carruthers.
To replace Tsai in his current role, Crown Perth chief financial officer Brian Pereira will serve as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is brought in.
The company has also appointed Nicole Pelchen as chief technology officer (CTO). Pelchen joins the operator after an extensive career in the finance services industry, most recently serving as CTO of MUFG Pension & Market Services.
Gemma Allman is joining the Crown leadership team as chief government officer after 16-years at ExxonMobil, where she ultimately served as general public and government affairs manager, while Louise Tebbutt has been brought in to serve as chief people and culture officer after six years in similar roles at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.
The final new hire is Stanford Le, who has been named the CEO of Crown Sydney to replace Mark McWhinnie, who recently announced his decision to retire.
Le has significant experience in the gambling sector, having worked at Caesars Entertainment, Wynn Resorts, and Sands China, and most recently as CEO and president of Snoqualmie Casino.
Crown Resorts group chief executive Ciarán Carruthers said: “I am delighted to announce David Tsai’s expanded role and to welcome four new veterans in their respective industries, who bring global perspectives and experiences to Crown Resorts.
“Stanford Le, Gemma Allman, Louise Tebbutt and Nicole Pelchen will be terrific additions to the team at an important time of transformation for the business.”
