Wynn Resorts promotes from within for general counsel role
1st October 2024 9:59 am GMTWynn Resorts has announced that Jacqui Krum will succeed Ellen Whittemore as general counsel and vice president.
Krum currently serves as general counsel and senior vice president at Wynn Resorts’s Encore Boston Harbor in Massachusetts.
She joined the company in 2013 to assist in developing gaming projects across the US and internationally and was part of the team that won the competitive gaming licence bid for Wynn in the Eastern Massachusetts area.
Krum then moved to Boston in 2015 to become SVP and general counsel at the Encore Boston Harbor and aided in its opening in 2019.
Krum’ assumes the role from Whittemore, who is retiring after seven years in the position.
Whittemore will remain at Wynn Resorts as a member of the board of Wynn’s Macau business and as a consultant to the company.
“Ellen Whittemore was, in the truest sense, the right person at the right time to help lead Wynn Resorts through a thicket of litigation and corporate governance changes,” said Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings.
“Ellen’s track record, including her reputation as a person of the highest integrity, was essential in working with regulators, our Board, and employees during a time of transition and change.
“Recently, Ellen led the successful effort to resolve key remaining legal and litigation matters overhanging the Company, and I appreciate her hard work on those issues. Ellen devoted her efforts to making us a better company; she succeeded, and we are thankful,” Billings concluded.
Shares in Wynn Resorts Ltd. (NASDAQ:WYNN) closed 1.78 per cent lower at $95.88 per share in New York Monday.
