PrizePicks has made a number of changes to its management structure, including the appointment of Marcus Sandford as chief financial officer (CFO).

Sandford joins the business after 13 years as CFO at Blizzard Entertainment and teams up with former colleague Mike Ybarra, who was appointed chief executive of PrizePicks in August.

Sandford’s appointment moves former CFO Ari Kotelas to the newly created role of chief business officer at the fantasy sports operator.

Kotelas had served as CFO since April 2021 and is now tasked with aligning business strategies and overseeing business development.

“Since joining PrizePicks, I have been impressed by the exceptional talent and capabilities of our team,” said Ybarra. “As we continue to scale our business, we see an opportunity to better harness our strengths and exceed player expectations with continued innovation and a renewed focus.”

Sandford added: “I am thrilled to join Mike and the talented team at PrizePicks. The company’s relentless commitment to innovation and focus on delivering the best, most differentiated products to players uniquely positions PrizePicks for accelerated growth.”
