Caesars opens first land-based casino venue in Nebraska
21st May 2024 8:34 am GMTCaesars Entertainment has unveiled its first land-based casino venue in Nebraska with the opening of Harrah’s Columbus Nebraska Racing and Casino.
The venue offers players a 17,000-square-foot casino with 400 slot machines, 11 table games and a Caesars Race & Sportsbook featuring a 2,100-square-foot sports and simulcast betting area.
The opening of the casino marks the first time that Caesars Sportsbook has accepted wagers in the Cornhusker State.
Along with the casino and sportsbook, Harrah’s Columbus will be home to a one-mile racetrack, the longest track in the state, in partnership with Columbus Exposition and Racing.
The track will host 15 live races every Friday to Sunday from 16 August to 15 September, as well as one on Labor Day. Each race day, more than 21 in-person kiosks will accept wagers.

Legal retail sports betting in Nebraska is approaching its second anniversary, as the vertical went live in the Cornhusker State on 22 June 2022, when WarHorse Casino Lincoln began accepting wagers in the state.
Shares in Caesars Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ:CZR) closed 1.63 per cent lower at $34.94 per share in New York Monday.
