Pollard Banknote has signed a deal to provide an iLottery platform to the Kansas Lottery, marking its first iLottery launch in the United States.
The new iLottery platform will be powered by the company’s Pollard Catalyst gaming platform and will begin generating revenue for the state in early 2025.
At launch, Kansas’ iLottery program will offer sales of popular draw‐based games such as Powerball and Mega Millions, as well as eInstant games from the Pollard Digital Games Studio, which will be customised for the Kansas market.
Pollard Banknote’s Player Account Management system will provide the functionality required for registration, age and identity verification, wallet transactions and responsible gaming features.
Geolocation services will be provided through the company’s proprietary GeoLocs technology.
“These are exciting times for the Kansas Lottery and for Pollard Banknote,” said Pollard Banknote co-CEO Doug Pollard. “Our decades‐long relationship with the Lottery combined with our game‐changing Pollard Catalyst technology and what we believe is the strongest team in the industry will deliver the best player experience and is a winning combination for the Lottery and its players. We look forward to delivering an exceptionally strong iLottery program.”
Pollard Banknote has been active in the US iLottery sector through its joint venture with NeoGames, NeoPollard Interactive, which launched four of the most profitable US iLottery programs in Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina and New Hampshire.
In 2021 Pollard made a decision to invest in its own end‐to‐end iLottery technology, beginning with the acquisition of Next Generation Lotteries (NGL) from Novomatic.
NeoGames, now part of Aristocrat Interactive, recently became the sole provider of New Hampshire’s iLottery solution.
Shares in Pollard Banknote Ltd (TOR:PBL) soared by 13.34 per cent to close at CAD$24.90 per share in Toronto Tuesday.
