China’s lottery market has seen total sales increase by 3.5 per cent to RMB194.3bn (€26.2bn) for the first half of 2016, with a strong performance in June marking its fourth consecutive month of year-on-year growth.
Having been in decline for nine consecutive months up until March, overall sales reached RMB33.96bn in June, an increase of 21 per cent compared to last year. This included strong growth in various provinces including Zhejiang, Shandong, Hubei, Guangdong and Yunnan.
