Sports data technology provider Genius Sports has expanded an agreement with Flutter-owned FanDuel to include its BetVision streaming solution.

FanDuel becomes the latest US operator to sign up for the newly launched platform, which allows players to watch select NFL games inside the FanDuel app with live stat tracking.

In the future, FanDuel will also be able to integrate other BetVision features including integrated betting odds and in-game betting alerts, alongside data-driven augmentations and the ability to place live bets within the video player.

“As an official sports betting partner of the National Football League, we’re continuing to look for ways to elevate the betting experience on our platform for fans during every game,” said FanDuel chief commercial officer Mike Raffensperger. “Partnering with Genius will allow us to pair our industry-leading product with access to BetVision to build a seamless live betting experience for fans.”

Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports, added: “In partnership with FanDuel, we are proud to lead a new era of sports betting experiences across North America.

“With heightened demand for greater personalization and interactivity, BetVision revolutionizes the live betting experience for FanDuel’s customers by helping to drive fan engagement and accelerate the growth of in-game betting.”

Caesars Sportsbook, Fanatics and BetRivers became the first sportsbooks to launch BetVision for the 2023 NFL season in August.

Shares in Genius Sports Ltd (NYSE:GENI) closed 1.38 per cent lower at $4.99 per share in New York Thursday.
