New York-listed sports data technology provider Genius Sports has agreed a new deal with UEFA, the governing body of football in Europe.
The multi-year agreement will see Genius Sports provide centre of mass player tracking technology to UEFA for the UEFA Europa League for seasons 2024/25 to 2026/27, and the UEFA European Qualifiers and UEFA Nations League for seasons 2024/25 to 2027/28.
The agreement will span 1,350 matches and see Genius Sports’ AI technology installed at over 140 stadiums.
Shares in Genius Sports Ltd (NYSE:GENI) closed 2.13 per cent higher at $5.28 per share in New York Wednesday.
