Scientific Games has signed an extended contract with the North Dakota Lottery to implement its omnichannel system solutions.

The new contract has an initial six year term and includes the option to extend it for two more years.

It covers Scientific Games’ new Momentum ecosystem, which was developed specifically for the North Dakota Lottery and features the AEGIS central gaming system with a single integrated solution for iLottery, loyalty, and retail self-service terminals.

Scientific Games’ player account management system, SG PAM, will also be integrated into the North Dakota Lottery platform to create a new user experience on both web and mobile.

This new contract is the third time the North Dakota Lottery has chosen Scientific Games as its system vendor.

The pair began a 20-year technology partnership in 2004 when Powerball was first launched. Later, the pair worked on the North Dakota iLottery program in 2014 and on the mobile app in 2018.

“We’ve been there since the beginning with the North Dakota Lottery, and our technology has served the Lottery very well over the past two decades,” said Scientific Games president of Americas and global instant products, John Schulz.

“Our teams have worked hard to build a strong partnership through service excellence, and they deeply understand the North Dakota Lottery’s unique business. Now, we’re taking that partnership to the next level with our Momentum ecosystem.”

Lance Gaebem, director of the North Dakota Lottery, commented: “Our goal was to modernise our technology so that our players can enjoy fluid experiences between retail and digital.

“We also wanted to work with the tech partner that gave us the best technical solution for the North Dakota Lottery to responsibly grow sales and contributions to our state programs in the coming years.”
