Powerball tickets go on sale today across the UK, with a record £300 million jackpot up for grabs in Thursday’s debut draw
Lottery players in the United Kingdom now have the chance to win The National Lottery’s biggest ever jackpot as tickets for the Powerball game go on sale today.
Available online through The National Lottery app and in retailers nationwide, a £4 Powerball line gives UK players the chance to win an estimated £300 million in the game’s first draw on Thursday 23 July.
Players have until 11.55pm on Wednesday 22 July to secure their chance to be part of Powerball history, ahead of the first draw at around 4am (UK time) on Thursday.
Following the launch, draws will take place three times a week from the Powerball studio in Florida.

The game is responsible for some of the world’s biggest lottery wins, including the record-breaking jackpot worth more than $2.04 billion in 2022.
With uncapped jackpots starting at £10 million and capable of growing into the hundreds of millions, and even beyond £1 billion, Powerball offers prize potential unlike anything previously available through The National Lottery.
Powerball is launching in the UK in partnership with the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) – a non-profit association owned and operated by its member lotteries.
With 48 US-based lotteries already participating in Powerball, Allwyn is launching a tailored version of the game for UK players.
Priced at £4 per line, UK players will play for a chance to win the shared jackpot by matching five main numbers plus the Powerball, with the jackpot paid to UK winners over 30 years.
The UK game features an additional ‘Match 2 main numbers’ prize tier, available only to UK players, which offers a fixed prize of £8.
The ‘Match 5 main numbers’ tier also offers a fixed prize of £1 million, while all other prize tiers offer estimated prizes, which vary depending on the numbers drawn and the number of winners in each tier.
