New York-listed gaming supplier Light & Wonder has promoted Nathan Drane to the role of chief product officer.

Drane has served as chief product officer within the Gaming division for the past year and now assumes product responsibility across all divisions, centralising Light & Wonders’ game creation under one department.

Light & Wonder’s former chief product officer, Rich Schneider, will continue to work with the company as a senior advisor.

Before his time at Scientific Games, Drane spent more than a decade at rival gaming supplier Aristocrat Leisure.

“I’ve personally worked with Nathan for many years, and I couldn’t be happier for him to share his leadership and vision with the entire enterprise,” said Light & Wonder CEO and president Matt Wilson.

“He has already been working with many across the business on our cross-platform strategy and has a clear and aggressive content roadmap that will ensure our continued success, positioning us for growth in the near and long term.”

Drane commented: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to take on this role with the company. This new centralised content organisation formalises our global strategy of building the world’s best games in every market on every intended platform. It provides us an opportunity to make data-driven development and roadmap decisions, gives us new opportunities to grow talent, and drives efficiencies throughout the game-creation process.”

Shares in Light & Wonder Inc. (NASDAQ:LNW) closed 3.39 per cent lower at $94.36 per share in New York Tuesday.
