US gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games Corporation has revealed that it is supplying the newly launched online player subscription service for the North Carolina Education Lottery.
Launched last month, the service allows North Carolina residents to purchase subscriptions via the lottery’s Lucke-zone.com website for three jackpot games; Powerball, Mega Millions and Carolina Cash 5.
North Carolina becomes the eighth US lottery to launch the Sciplay service, alongside the likes of Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Minnesota and Kentucky.
Michael Lightman, Scientific Games vice president, business development said: “We are excited about the engaging, exciting and convenient opportunities we now offer North Carolina players through the combination of our subscription service and our players club rewards program – by far the broadest deployment of Sciplay to date.”
With the launch of the subscription service, as well as the company’s Properties Plus integrated suite of web-based player loyalty rewards services, Scientific Games now provides the lottery with player account management, age verification and player geo-location, and web-based payment services. The subscription service includes first-tier player support via phone, live chat and email.
“The availability of these three popular jackpot games on our Lucke-Zone website offers our players a new way to play, and offers non-lottery players the opportunity to try our games for the first time,” said Alice Garland, executive director for the North Carolina Education Lottery.
Garland said the new service will help the Lottery increase sales for the three games and ultimately raise more money for education in the state.
A subscription to a minimum of two weeks of drawings (and up to a maximum of 52 weeks of drawings) for one of the three games is required.
The lottery’s responsible play features, such as limits on the number of multi-draw tickets that can be purchased, are incorporated into the subscription service. Players also have the ability to place their own personal limits on their play.
