Inspired has launched its virtual sports content for the US land-based market for the first time, with its games rolled out in two William Hill-powered Nevada casino sportsbooks.
The supplier's virtual sports offering has been integrated with William Hill’s CBS platform and deployed in two Nevada venues as part of a field trial approved by the state’s Gaming Control Board.
“I’m delighted to announce that Inspired is the first company in the world to deploy land-based virtual sports into the US market, specifically Nevada,” Inspired CCO of digital games Steve Rogers commented.
“This deal confirms Inspired as the world leader in virtual sports innovation and deployment, and our global partnership with William Hill goes from strength to strength,” he expalined.
“Our virtual horse racing product represents 18% of horse racing revenue in the UK and we are hopeful that we can repeat or even outperform that figure in the US.”
The virtual sports games will be shown alongside live sports in land-based venues’ sportsbook areas, with users able to place bets in real-time via the CBS platform both over the counter and via self-service terminals.
Should this field trial be successful, the deployment will expand to all Nevada-based casino sportsbooks run by William Hill in the remaining months of 2016 and throughout 2017.
