Online gaming operator Sky Bet has signed a record five-year extension to continue as the headline sponsor of the English Football League (EFL) until the end of the 2023/24 season.

The new agreement represents a 20 per cent increase on Sky Bet's investment in the sponsorship agreement from 2019/20 will see the partnership extended to 11 years.

"This agreement represents the largest title sponsorship in EFL history and once again illustrates how our commercial operations are maximising the revenue opportunities and exposure for the EFL and its Clubs," said EFL chief Executive Shaun Harvey. "Sky Bet has been a significant and valued partner since first sponsoring the EFL in 2013/14."
