Brightstar Lottery has signed a new long-term contract to continue powering the Wisconsin Lottery for up to twenty years.
Following a competitive procurement, Brightstar won the eight-year base contract, which includes an eight-year extension option and four additional one-year extension options.
The lottery’s existing contract with IGT Lottery, which was rebranded as Brightstar after the sale of IGT’s gaming business, is set to expire in May 2027.
The new deal will see Brightstar deploy its fully integrated lottery solution, OMNIA, to modernize retail and digital solutions for the lottery, and enhance the lottery’s mobile app to provide more convenience to players and retailers.
Additionally, Brightstar will deliver new retailer equipment, including its newest terminals and self-service vending machines.
“The Wisconsin Lottery looks forward to working with Brightstar to help us continuously evolve our lottery solutions to maximize player engagement with this new contract,” said Wisconsin Lottery director Cindy Polzin.
Scott Gunn, Brightstar chief operating officer North America Lottery, said: “Working in collaboration with the Wisconsin Lottery, Brightstar has developed a deep understanding of the growth-driving products and solutions the Lottery needs to fuel and support its business goals.
“Since our partnership began in 1988, we have supported the Wisconsin Lottery in generating more than $20 billion in revenue, the majority of which has gone back to winners, retailers and Wisconsin homeowners. We are excited to deliver our latest technology solutions, backed by our high-performing and reliable system, that will continue to responsibly propel lottery sales and entertain players.”
Brightstar also announced this week that it has deployed its salesforce automation tool with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) in Canada.
Sales Wizard integrates with OLG’s central system and equips sales representatives with actionable insights and compelling data to identify lottery retail opportunities and make every retail visit more effective.
“Brightstar’s Sales Wizard is enabling OLG’s sales force with digital access to actionable data while unlocking operational efficiencies so that our sales representatives can make the best use of every retail visit,” said Vanessa Theoret, OLG senior director of retail sales & account management. “Sales Wizard is highly configurable so OLG can leverage this product in a variety of ways to meet our evolving business needs.”
OLG joins 24 other lotteries in using Brightstar’s Sales Wizard to help grow sales.
Shares in Brightstar Lottery plc (NYSE:BRSL) closed 0.60 per cent higher at $14.22 per share in New York Tuesday.
