Tipico has agreed a multi-year partnership to become an official partner of Malta’s men’s national football team.
The agreement with the Malta Football Association (MFA) focuses on attracting local talent and strengthening its profile as an attractive employer in Malta, where Tipico has held a presence for more than 20 years.
Tipico’s logo will be featured on various official MFA and national team merchandise, including official performance wear and equipment such as training shirts, training sweatshirts, polo shirts, training jackets, and jackets for the national anthem entrance.
In addition, the brand will feature on advertising boards in the national stadium, as well as integrations in digital and social media, which focus on Tipico’s employer portal, Tipico Careers.
The first appearance of the new brand integration with the team and the stadium was showcased at last night’s UEFA Nations League match against Luxembourg, which Malta lost 2-0.
“The Tipico brand is firmly rooted in professional football – as are our sponsorship activities,” said Tipico director of sports brand and marketing acquisition Kajetan Strini-Brown. “Furthermore, Tipico has been headquartered in Malta for more than 20 years and employs over 450 people on the island.
“Therefore, we are delighted about this new partnership with the Maltese national team, which will further increase our visibility as a reliable, attractive, and international employer in Malta.”
Malta Football Association president Bjorn Vassallo commented: “We are delighted to welcome Tipico, a globally renowned brand in the online gambling sector, to our organization and to be able to collaborate with them. Both organizations live and breathe football, which provides a promising foundation for a strong partnership. We look forward to achieving success together, both on and off the pitch.”
Tipico is in the process of being acquired by France’s Banijay Group, owner of the Betclic brand.
