Bo Wänghammar talks to Gaming Intelligence about his return to the iGaming industry, how he will use his ecommerce experience to further build Mr Green's brand, and the potential for bringing product development in-house.

The decision to shift Marcus Nylen from his role at CEO of Mr Green to head up the company’s mobile-focused brand in January this year may have come as a surprise. More so the decision to replace him with Bo Wänghammar, who was working as a consultant at the time, following his departure from contact lens and eyeglass retailer Lensway.

As a veteran of pre-merger bwin he has industry experience. Yet having left the operator in 2010, and spent a stellar career as an executive in a range of industries, what attracted him back to online gaming?

“It was more the brand and the people than the industry that attracted me to Mr Green,” Wänghammar explains. “The people who started the company have a track record of doing great stuff, and also the brand stood out.”
