BetVictor has agreed to sell its portfolio of 18 racecourse pitches to independent UK bookmaker Star Sports for an undisclosed fee, as the Gibraltar-based bookmaker looks to focus on its online business.
Brighton-based Star Sports, which previous operated as Star Racing, will now have an on-course presence at eleven racecourses across the UK, including Ascot, Cheltenham, Goodwood Newmarket and Sandown Park.
The deal begins with immediate effect, with Star Sports standing at Royal Ascot this week.
