West Virginia’s licensed sports betting and iGaming operators enjoyed another record performance in December 2021 as total wagers reached $355.0m.
Total wagers in the five-week period ended 1 January 2022 increased by 98 per cent year-on-year, with iGaming wagers rising 157 per cent to a record $280.4m and sports betting wagers climbing 6 per cent to $74.5m.
Within sports betting, retail accounted for wagers of $14.8m in December, with online betting generating wagers of $59.8m.
