CAIXA Loterias, the operator of Brazil’s federal lottery, has reported sales of R$16.20 billion (€3.03 billion) for the first nine months of 2023.
The third quarter of 2023 saw a 4 per cent increase in lottery sales to R$5.86 billion, making it the best quarter of 2023.
During the quarter, R$2.43 billion – 41 per cent of sales - was allocated to the Brazilian federal government's programmes in social security, sports, culture, public security, education and health. [...]
