The US state of Illinois is moving towards the sale of Powerball lottery tickets online after a Senate Committee voted in favour of the proposal this week.
Senate Bill 3497 amends the state’s lottery law to offer Powerball games online to state residents, in addition to Lotto and Mega-Millions games, under an online pilot programme which runs for at least 36 months.
